Flying Multiplayer

Combat flying is never performed alone. You always need to work as a team to fulfil your mission objectives.
Flying solo was not good enough for me and multiplayer opens many new experiences making combat flight sim even more thrilling.

I started flying multiplayer with the 87th StrayDogs another life ago. I then created another squadron more dedicated to training with a few friends. We wanted to fly together in a “train like you intend to fight” squadron devoid of the military rank mumbo-jumbo and focused on quality rather than quantity.
The ViperDrivers were born in September 2011.

We flew together for a bit less than 10 years during which we maintained a small group of full time members with new guys joining us regularly and look forward to our weekly flight all together.
The training was demanding and not cut for all. Many did drop their commitment unable to maintain dedication over time. I am not blaming them as the learning curve of Falcon 4 BMS is steeper and gets steeper with every updates.

Here is a video of good old times flying with the ViperDrivers:

Lately I stopped flying BMS and started flying DCS. Mostly the Viper obviously but I don’t say no to a good adrenaline shot of carrier ops with the F/A-18C which is a welcome change from the viper.
Unfortunately the ViperDrivers slowly died by lack of activity.

I joined the 1st VFW and had the pleasure to fly a few MP hops with them but activity is very scarce if not totally inexistent therefore I am still looking for an active squadron flying the F-16 in DCS (I could be convinced to join a F/A-18C squadron) focused on training and using the sim in the right way.
But I miss the ViperDrivers.
